I have a 2004 touring and my passanger side window motor is seeming to be going bad on me. Once i roll it down and try to get it back up, it will go all the way up and then fall back down about half way on its own... it usually does this 3 or 4 times before it will stay up. Also sometimes when the door shuts or opens the window will fall to the same half way position and i have to repeat the process or rolling it up multiple times before it will stay. Has anyone else had this problem, or heard of it on Z's before? I'm just wondering if there is a easy fix or if i need to have the window motor replaced.

Thanks

Rob

If we are to make Nico a good source of information, you have to refrain from answering from your butt. Do me a favor. If you dont have anything funny or heplful to say-DONT POST!

it sounds like your window motor is about to crap out on you. Follow what Evil said. call or go to the dealer first. If not Rmezz did a great write up, so you can DIY.zerothread/353429

are you kidding me?

I know most people here are....I don't know about you? I know I am not the only one that feels that way.

Are your windows not working at all? Do they roll up half way and roll back down?

Wow, I can't believe this topic is being posted AGAIN!! As I've posted before, and has worked for many...try this before forking out the cash for a fix:1. Turn your car key to the ON position and press and hold the button to move your window all the way down and when it reaches the bottom hold for 2-3 seconds. Then press up and hold it as it goes up and then when it seals hold it for 5-6 seconds.

If that does not work 2. Remove your door trim panel and where the motor is located there should be a small rubber nipple/button poking out. Roll your window all the way down and hold the button for 3-5 secs. Then roll your window all the way up and while holding the Window up button press and hold the nipple/button for 3-5 seconds. Hopefully this works because both these techniques have worked when I have fixed Altimas, Maximas, 350Z'z, Versa's and Sentra's and Murano's
