My friend is looking to do a front end conversion on his 04 Maxima to the 07 Maxima with the front facing fog lights. Anyone done this swap before, and if so, what parts will we need other than the front bumper?

I've looked for a how to or guide on doing this swap, but unfortuantely have come up short. Anyone with some information on how to do it or even point me in the direction on some kind of how to for it would be greatly appreciated.

looks like all your buddy will need is the bumper and possibly grille from 07' - but that comes only from comparing pics of both front ends.

Bumper, fenders, hood, grille, and lights are all different. The whole front end will need to be replaced. Fenders MAY be the same...I'm not 100% sure as I've never had one of each next to each other to compare up close.

I'm not sure if connections/wiring is identical between the two, so you'll need to check into that.

Take a look at the body section of the FSMs for the respective cars. That should shed some light on what you'd be looking at.Body section for 2004Body section for 2007

Sounds like we're in for more than we bargained for. We're currently still in the research stage though, so hopefully we come across some sort of break through with a how-to or finally catch up with someone who's done it and learn the step by steps.

Thanks for the links to the manuals though, he was just talking about getting one the other day.

The fenders are the same, no need to replace them. You would need:bumpergrillheadlightshood

Here's what it will look like if you don't replace the hood:

Thanks for the picture and the info. After reading how many parts he has to replace for the swap he's decided to go with his second choice for a new bumper (the same one you have I believe).

Tell him to check out this bumper as well, brand new:http://www.ezkoncepts.com

The drawback to mine is that it's fiberglass, this new one is durafelx. FTW
