Every time I research the body control module on my car I come up with one type in a metal box with metal bracket. But the manual I looked at on this site shows the BCM location is to the left kick panel on the drivers floor. I opened it up and found a module. That is plastic and does not resemble the one that I ordered. I can find nothing like this online. Is this the correct location for the body control module?

Go to https://www.infinitipartsdeal.com and put in your VIN. You're going to need to know your car's production date to get the correct model number. Once you've got the correct model number you can check eBay or try a salvage yard.

Could you post a picture of what you bought? It might also have a part number that you can look up.

You seem to have gone to the correct location for the BCM in your car. Left kick panel, under fuse box.
