Hey guys,

I got a 3.5 02 Altima and I just put the 18inch 04 maxima/350z rims with 245/45/18 tires, and im getting alot of rubbing.

Would you guys suggest to go to:225/45/18 or 225/40/18

What would be the best ride?

Does anybody have this setup?

Your help is needed!

Thanks!

It is important to note that while the 6th gen Maxima SE and 350z Touring 18'' wheels share the same appearance, they are NOT the same size. The Maxima wheels are 18x7.5 and 45 offset. The Z wheels are 18x8 and 30 offset. Because of this, the Z wheels stick out almost an inch more than the Maxima wheels. The Z wheels are a RWD offset, Max wheels are FWD offset. You should have no fitment problems with the Max wheels on an Altima, but the Z wheels may not work.

Stock tire size for the Maxima with those wheels is 245-45-18. You could go down to 235 or 225. On the Z wheels, stock tire size is 225-45-18 for the fronts and 245-45-18 for the rears, so anything in that range is definitely an option.

thanks for you input!

the rubbing mostly occurs when i hit a bump or when people are sitting in the back seat.

if i get 225/45/18 do you think would solve it?i dont want to go thiner than that, because i know someone who has a se-r and he has 225/40/18 with the same rims and has no rubbing.

thanks again!
