I have an '04 with a 6 speed manual. I would like to know what are my options for pulling an engine from PickYourPart to swap into the car. Is there any newer engine that I could source from a G37 or G35 that would work with my '04 ECU? Could I source the engine from an automatic transmission car?

Also, with the OEM rings eventually going bad, allowing oil to pass, if I rebuild the engine first, are there any aftermarket ring sets that I could use that would prevent this problem? I would like to rebuild the engine to work with the ECU but also squeeze any amount of power/performance from the engine.

I would also like to have an upgraded look with all of the hoses.
