Hi I just recently put a flowmaster exhaust onto my 2001 Sentra SE and tho it sounds great when I'm driving, the car has absolutely no idling sound. I know a little bit about cars, but I'm wondering if anyone can help me to figure out what exactly I can do to create a quality idling, throaty sound. (The exhaust is the only thing I've done so far with the car as far as performance goes.)

A header would add to it, but to be honest a 4cyl engine isn't going to make much noise at idle no matter what you do.

Is this a full catback exhaust or just a Flowmaster muffler? If the stock resonator is in place, it will cut out pretty much everything.

I have a catback with a Magnaflow muffler and resonator. Check this clip as a comparison. Note that the mic on my little camera is hyper sensitive, but even then, once the car is warmed up there's just not a lot of noise. The last shot from the exterior was after the car was fully warmed up.

Yeah I thought that the headers might, your car seems to sound exactly the same as mine. I have the full cat-back flowmaster with a magnaflow muffler and it sounds pretty good. When i get the headers it should sound better tho
