Has anyone here actually done this themselves? Ive been trying to do some research on it, ive looked online on several sites, bought the haynes manual but how am i supposed to get to the pump itself? Am i supposed to take the tire off and maneuver around in the wheel well? Or should i completely lift the car and get to it from underneath? If i do have to get at it from underneath am i supposed to take out anything to get better access? I wish this car was rwd, anyone with any help please fill me in, Thanks!

That area is quite a pain to work on. You should be able to get up there to do it with the car on jack stands and the wheel off.

I haven't done the procedure in the car, but I have swapped a number of engines/transmissions in 4th gens. I would recommend jacking the front end of the car up as far as possible as well as removing the inner passenger side front fender well.

I would attack it from below. Remove the supply hose from the reservoir, loosen the front nut on the tensioner, loosen the tensioner length adjustment. Remove the mounting bolts of the pump, and reverse.
