Ive read a couple other "snow stories" about other peoples experiences in snow this year and was inspired others who took pics to take some pics of my own when I got home tonight.

we got about 8-10 inches on the ground when i left work at 11:30pm, and i got home at 12:30am (got gas, picked up some milk, 22 mile drive home) The main hiways had been plowed earlyier and there was only about 3 inches on the hiways at that time of night, side streets just had ruts from not bein plowed at all.

i was totally plowing the snow in the middle of the ruts with my front spoiler

I didnt have any problems gettin stuck anywhere, even in parking lots, sidestreets, stop signs, etc. didnt have any breaking problems, didnt have any understear problems (i was oversteering on purpose though )

anyway, moral of the story: IF YOU LIVE WHERE THERS SNOW AND HAVE A 240, GET SOME WINTER/SNOW TIRES FOR PETE'S SAKE!!

yeah, so here are the pics:

my winter tires:

the back end caked in snow after the drive home:

a rear tire:

Driveway shot:

my brother had also gotten off work about an hour before me:

the intersection that my house sits on... that fuzzy stuff under the light is the snow, it had been snowing since around 2pm. you can kind of tell the ruts.

Yesterday in Indianapolis we got some snow and freezing rain. I get home and apparently my wife decided to be Tommi freaking Makinen in the Nissan Altima. I thought I was the only in the family with the license to go off-roading.bud

Darn it. I want some snow!

Those pics is what I want. It has snowed in the mountains and at the coast, but not in the flipping foothills and piedmont.

But we are suppose to get some wintery mix, later this morning. But an inch of ice aint gonna get it. We want snow!!!!!

and im northwest of you, what part of wisconsin are you in?

all the low temp stuff i had been talking about, well, the lowest temp we saw was 39 below...and due to very high winds on that particular day the wind chill was about -85 at one point. and i had to walk to class in it, needless to say not an enjoyable experience

umm we have all the residual snow here so we're starting with about 2' supposed to get about 10-16" today tonight. I was playing around in the parking lot at my college but got yelled at by campus safety. Lowest temp i've seen this wnter was -3 with a windchill of -19 but last winter there was about 2 weeks where it was -20 getting down to -35 at nights with windchills approaching -50

so the next day as i got out on to the hiway there was an incredible shaking in the car... turns out to have been the snow packed inside the wheels caused balance to be off, car wash fixed it up good.
