Need Help please

i got a 95 240sx. ok well long story short my friend hooked up his side of the jumper cables backwards when we were trying to jump start my 240. So after that my radio first stopped workin. so i just got the battery fully charged at autozone today brought it back put it in and now the whole damn electrical system isnt working. But the weird thing is everything else was working b4 i pulled the battery out. Any ideas on what could be wrong. Your advise would be greatly appreciated. and also does ne1 know what the "chime" is in the driver side kick panel where the fuses are?

Did you already check all the fuses? If you haven't, that would be a good start.
