240sx with 300zx seats?

I have a 92 240SX SE, I am looking to replace the seats, and came upon a set of 1990 300zx seats. Is it possible to replace my stock seats with these. Also, the 300 seats are power, can i just hook it up to a 12v power source, or can i replace the sliders with my stock 240 ones? I'm not really sure if this would work and I don't want to purchase them without having an idea of what this project would entail.

nope..it's not a bolt-on affair i'm affraid. The guy w/the beige sil-80 did it, and said he never wanted to do it again. I've considered it, but have heard they are heavy pigs...

I can't remember the site... I think that it was in the gallery of Zilvia.net There was a picture of a 240 hatch with the 300ZX leather seats in it. I am pretty sure that it requires a good bit of custom work to get everything hooked up and working right (I would guess that if you had all of the necessary parts you could hook up the power seats as well). I could be wrong, but I think that it is a possibility... Just not sure how much work you are willing or able to do to get it done. It might not be too hard though, as I haven't looked into it much. im getting some leather 300zx seats for my 91 hatch. ill take some pics when i get everything hooked up.

i dont think it will be that hard to hook up the wiring. just re-route a 12v source under the carpet and wire it. no biggie. ill take pics.

i know for sure it is not easy. in the same location, im pretty sure none of the bolt holes of the 300zx seat line up with the 240s holes. brackets will most likely have to be fabricated (pain in the ***). id say the wiring should be the easiest part.

If you are near the same location as stock mounting you can drill and tap new holes aswell. I had to do that for leather seats in my car. You can add a washer or 2 if you have to level it. Longer bolts will be needed. That worked for me and they are strong and hold up very well.

Lot of street rod guys do this aswell that I have seen.

ive installed them in my car and they look pretty good. wiring is easy.

it is a 12v source. one wire for the power, one for ground, and you have power.

The way the brackets had to be made they sit a little bit higher than stock.

Since these seats go for so much and the brackets are difficult to fabricate, I am trying to get $350 plus shipping.

Honestly, tho, I really need money right now so I am thinking that I could let them go for a good deal less... just ask.
