Was messing around the other day and decided to make two mockups for side skirt designs for my kouki G50. I decided on this concept and was wondering what other Q enthusiasts thought of the overall shape/look: Please excuse the gap between the front fender and skirt... I was only using clear tape to hold the mock-up piece up

The skirt as it is in the pics does not extend below the existing rocker panel... so this will still afford the same amount of clearance as stock. I just wanted to bring the body out a little to visually lower the car, as the stock rocker panels roll in a little too much imo. It's not a crazy design, but I'm more a fan or concinnity, and trying to augment factory shapes and lines as opposed to fighting them. From the sideview, it appears that the front bumper actually isn't too bad as is, since it slopes down pretty low towards the back end, but the rear has always needed some help imo, and esp if the sides are brought down (visually) with some skirts.

I'll probably play around a little more with the current design, and maybe-hopefully-start fiberglassing next week or so. Oh yah, about the supercharger setup, I've got a more accurate mounting bracket made up now, and all that's needed on that is to accurately locate all the necessary mounting points, dimension them, and draw up a cad file... I'd like to wrap that one up within the next month or so, so if anyone would be interested in the bracket dimensions eventually, I'll hopefully be able to help by then. Oh yah 2, and my friend did a quickie R&R of his plenum and injectors, and it seems that has solved the fuel dumping problem... still some minor gremlins to deal with, but they'll prob be ironed out soon... thanks to all.

Oh my God.... it looks SWEET!!How did you do it? Will you make some extras and make it available to NICO members? It's beautiful while not actually hurting the original shape of the vehicle like some other kits do.Great job!

By the way, how did you drop your Q so low? Did you get the adjustable shock or something? Nice!

Those are the sweetest side skirts I've seen for the Q. The others just look tacky IMO!

As far as the mounting bracket goes for the SC, I can have it made up for you if you send me a diagram with the dimensions, what material you'd like it made from, etc. Note, having one made won't be cost effective... but two or three and you're getting there.

Have you decided which supercharger you'll be using?

You have one of the sweetest Qs on this site as it is... a custom kit and a supercharger setup would just clarify your position on the throne :pface .

It's not really my question to answer, but last I heard he was still running chopped stock springs and said it rode quite well!

Can you say high centered on a speed bump?

Might work on a stock suspension, but how would they attach? I would not want to give rust a foothold in this region.

Hmm, looks tasteful, yet bold. I like it. I too wonder how it attaches and comes together.

Not bad, I like.

I'd like to see a detail of the piece that is on the leading edge of the rear wheelwell...

p.s. No offense, but man, that car could use some rubber on those rims! I'll bet your Q flinches every time she sees a curb.

Such expensive rims too... it's all about the VIP look though!

I guess the IPQ would have to be custom sprayed.... it's a two or three coat process..... unless you did the IPQ color...and left out the second sparkle step.

I like the look, however.

Agreed that looks pretty nice.....

I would assume they could attach (at least in the front and rear) where the stock mudflaps are.....

Looks really nice!

There's nothing on the leading edge of the rear wheelwell.

That's why I wanted a close up of what he did.... Front looks good, rear looks.... well, let's see the pics.
