MAF- Mass AirFlow sensor
MAP- Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor
they both tell the engine how much air is coming in so it can inject the proper amount of fuel. The basic difference is that the MAF runs off airflow so it has to have something that slightly impedes that airflow in order to measure it. The MAP measures how much air is in the manifold with more or less a pressure sensor (in reality, its more complicated than that)
The stock MAF sends a voltage signal to the ecu based on how much air is flowing, so it reaches its limit when more air continues to flow and the voltage reading stays the same. From what i have heard, this seems to happen around 240rwhp and about 12 lbs of boost.
Your blow-off valve pops everytime you shift because that is what it is supposed to do. I releases air either back into the airbox or to the atmosphere so the turbo doesn't send pressurized air into a brick wall (the closed throttle plate when you let off to shift). Without the blow off valve, the closed throttle would cause the compressor wheel to slow down, stop, and even spin backwards (compressor surge), which can be detrimental to the health of your poor little t25.
By the way, in ka24De the D means DOHC, and since you have a 92 im pretty sure you should have a ka24e MAF

BTW how many aggies does it take to scew in a lightbuld?
