diff??

hey i've searched and know that j30 internals CAN be swapped into the 240's open diff. i wanted to know if its a straight swap,pull out open diff internals and swap in vlsd interanls?? i didn't find anything on this.

you can do this but you need to swap the whole gearset, not just the pinion shaft and pinion gear...what diff are you wanting to pull the internals out of??

i have a j30 vlsd from a 93. I don't have the axles,so i thought i'd try to swap the internals

well ive personally never pulled apart a j30 diff but it cant be that much different (if it all) than a s14 vlsd...i say go ahead and try it, the worst that happens is you have to put the stock diff back together
