im new on these foru200sx swap help!!!!

Hey im new to NICOclub so im gonna keep it as short as possible.i have just found myself a proud owner of a severly underpowered 96 nissan 200sx se and i was wondering what kind of engine swaps were possible into this car. Ive been looking into the pulsar gtir sr20det and also the sr20ve but i need your input. is there any other engines? what are the cons/pros of the gtir and the ve? also, is there any jdm conversions or anything of that sort? your responses are greatly appreciated, thanks.

However if you do decide to go with an SR20 do me a favor and dont do the mistake i did haha... if you have a high port sr20 and swap in another that happens to be low port, you might run into some problems... im currently struggling and kicking myself in the head over this lol but i never knew that there was a variation or else i wouldnt have bought that specific engine,.. i have a 96 200SX SE-R too btw i cant wait to get mine on the road though,.. cheers enjoy the forums.

oh man that sucks!, what im actually thinking of going with is a pulsar GTIR det/ sr20ve hybrid engine. it uses the bottom-end strength of the GTIR while keeping the NEOVVL from the head. from what ive heard, it get GREAT results.

what engine do you have in your 96?
