I am having a bear of a time to get a rotor to come off a 93 s40sx vert. I have sprayed it with PB Blaster at least 10 times, letting it sit over 8 hours. It just will not break loose! I notice there are 2 threaded holes that looks like I could thread a bolt into that would hit the hub behind the rotor forcing it off. Would anybody know what size/thread this hole would be?

I looked in the FSM for the 240SX and I don't see it mentioned. If I had to guess I'd say it's the same as for the Q45 though... M8x1.25

Good luck!

Yeah I've had some sticky rotors before that don't want to come off. If you don't need to re-use the rotors just start beating it with a hammer. If they have sentimental value use a big dead-blow/rubber mallet. Sometimes they just rust to the hub so much they don't want to let go.

I besat the livin piss out of that thing for 2 days!! I finally went and got the bolts (they are 10x1.25 by the way)as I was running them in with the air gun, the rotor was actually starting to split at the lug area! I ended up haveing to heat it up, and beat it with the bolts having preasure on it at the same time, it FINALLY came off!

those little threaded holes are in fact for getting the rotor off and they do work really well, it's like night and day using a hammer. problem is no one can tell you what the threading is because different rotor manufactures make different threads on those wholes. You just have to use trial and error and see what works.

good news is, you just use regular bolts and since your rotor is by now (I'm guessing) totally screwed you if you get it wrong and strip the threads....no biggy, just keep going till it breaks. Although if it helps, I seem to remember the last time I did it, I think I used a long 10mm body screw. But I could be wrong.
