well i am not a professional painter, but to my knowledge more clear = more protection to the base coat...

yes and no. if your paint get upwards of 14mils thick..it'll crack really easily with temperature changes. but i'll agree..you have more than enough clear to wet sand and buff to get that mirror shine. it'd be worth the money to take it do a detailer and tell him to wetsand, buff, and wax that car.

looks great!

correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that if you have a crap ton of clear( more than 4 coats), won't it turn yellow after a while, sorta like how zenki headlights turn yellow due to ultraviolet rays?

Even if it did turn yellow it wouldnt make much of a difference with the black paint bruh. Nice car though. Lower + new wheels would make a big difference. Keep it up

Could be true, I dont know. Im not a pro painter either. My cusin is though and he painted his car red, with metallic flake 10 years ago and he put on 7 layers of clear coat. It has been sitting out in the sun for all these years and it still looks like it was painted yestarday. Its amazing.

I hope you mean 1.4mm

14mm of paint is likely to add 10lbs to your car weight. Per panel.
