I just moved your thread to the Q45 forum to help your chances of getting more responses.

You might also check out your factory service manual at http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

Start at about page EC-9. There's a good drawing on page EC-12. It looks like its going to connect to a piece of metal tubing with all the other hoses under the plastic engine shroud.

If you're not close to a stealership.....I broke the same nipple and replaced it with a short piece of aluminum tubing purchased from Ace Hardware for a couple of bucks. Perfect fit.

Sorry for delayed response. Fridays are busy for me. I'm getting p0300(random misfire). I have new coils, plugs, injectors & knock sensors. I used the FSM "ec-8" and it looks like the lower hose that broke connects to the "fuel damper" in on the firewall from the illustration. In another illustration it looks as tho it connects to the evap silonoid under the cover in front. The reason i asked you guys is because we all have Q's here. Can someone run out to their q45 and take a pic of it so i can do mine like yours. Thanks for moving the post for a better response. Thank in advance.

No

Yes

Remove the plastic cover shown in the left side of your pic and you'll see a metal tube that the hose connects to. You've got a 96Q. It's not the same as a 90-95Q. I looked at pics of my 94Q engine and it's a bit different as is the setup on my current 90Q.

Tell us a little about all of these new parts. Are they all OEM Nissan or a mix? If you used anything other than the factory specified NGK platinums, I would definitely change them out...

Yea everything is oem. Im familiar on what to buy for the Q "oem". Car pulls off slow. ngk $115 plugs, oem coils, oem knock sensors, oem injectors, ngk o2 sensors. I think this hose is my problem. I have a replacement hose and nipple ready to go. Just don't know were. I keep getting the p0300. I think because of the missing hose placement. I hope somebody with a 1996 goes outside to there q45 and take a pic for me. I would really appreciate that s***...lol I used the Symptom Matrix charts on the FSM for the code p0300..section "ec-84-86" . i've went down the line. everthing else seems to be in order.

I would, but I am away from my Q currently- it should be easy to look around in the area and see the unconnected hose that should be dangling close to the broken off nipple, no?

i looked under the cover took it off and everything is connected. But that doesn't mean everything connected correctly. My mechanic may have connected what was there to the wrong thing is my concern.

There should be 2 solenoids under there and they both have 3 hoses attached, 2 on one end and one on the other. Is one of the nipples broken off one of these?
