All I find is a bunch of "restoration" projects. Odds are I will make this another weekender, and I want to know some of the modifications done to these cars.

I have read time after time people swap in the KA24DE, a engine I can't get quickly, but it requires crossmember and stuff. Anyone inform me on how much fabrication/money that would be?

Also, again, I find no performance parts or little "switcheroo's" to do with this car as far as suspension. Only thing I have "heard" is the 240z or 280zx strut swap? What about the rear? isn't it leaf springs?

Any and ALL help will be greatly appreciated. I don't want to feel like I have obtained a hunk of junk. I know the car's potential, but I see no hard evidence to back it up right now....

The 510 wagon doesn't have a lot of aftermarket support as far as rear suspension is concerned. Some guys go the 4 link route, and a few have swapped in irs. The most common brake/suspension upgrade is the 280zx/ with an aftermarket coilover, (ermish, gc, etc). People have also welded after-market coilovers, from say.... a 240sx, to a zx strut. Bmw and 240sx xmember/suspension/steering swaps have been done before as well.
