I want people on NICO to share websites that they find useful or that they check daily because they are interesting etc. It can be anything from tech sites, education site, cars, social networking, networking tools, food recipes etc.

Why I started this thread (not important):I was inspired to start this because I was trying to check my Gmail and it isn't working. So I went to one of my favorite trusty sites to see what was going on. Well it helped me a lot and reduced my frustration. Because of this site I didn't my laptop through a wall!

I have tons of them but here the one that inspired me:

http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com- It will tell you if a link you post isn't working. In my case it was Gmail.

EDIT:http://www.khanacademy.org/- Easiley the BEST educational website I have ever stumbled upon. Covering all sciences, mathematics, economics and even current economics. From the simplest concepts to the most complicated.

http://www.VBS.tv - Amazing documentaries and interesting multicultural angles to the world. Their series called "The Vice Guide to" is amazing. North Korea and Liberia's documentary is crazy. Also Columbia's Devils Breath is amazing as well.

http://www.wimp.com- 4 or 5 videos/images posted daily and it pretty much summarizes the internet on that given day.

http://www.refdesk.com- Fact checker for the internet.

http://www.video2mp3.net or http://www.dirpy.com/- Turns youtube videos into MP3s. I use this for ease of use and the fact that YouTube has every song ever.

http://errorlevelanalysis.com- A tool used to help you figure out if a photo was photoshopped.

http://www.slickdeals.net- Great for finding amazing prices for anything.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/- Keeps track of every promise Obama has ever made as well as fact-checking all politicians.

http://www.allrecipes.com, http://www.tastespotting.com and http://www.supercook.com- Food and recipes

http://www.radioreference.com/- Listen to police/firefighter/medical scanners via the internet. If the frequency you want to listen to isn't available, it tells you what the frequency is so you can tune into it.

http://flightaware.com/- Tracks every plane currently flying in the world with a Google Maps type look.

http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/- Tracks every ship currently at sea in the world with a Google Maps type look.

http://www.liveatc.net/index.php- Allows you to listen to air traffic controllers.
