Kay people, first of all I am really confused at why my headlights aren't working. Second, I have lurked and lurked and LURKED all over the google trying to find the issue. The problem is, my headlights both go down, but only one goes up. Only one works on lowbeams, but both work on highbeams. I've tried the headlight switch refurbish thread (see zerothread/280461) on two of my switches, both having similar results. So after cleaning out the contacts in the switch it somehow managed to REVERSE the problem to the other side of the car. Now my left headlight doesn't go up or work on lowbeams. The right goes up and down and works on high's and low's.

I also had a suspicion that maybe my TCU could be faulty, (and it was, because my gauge cluster lights were not working) so I replaced it and nothing changed except my dash now lit up.

EDIT: I have not tried the sleepy eye mod

I'm going crazy and people on the road are getting pissed off cause I have the brights on all the time at night. Help!

first off, here you go secondly, idk man, I've seen some of the other posts about your issue. And it looks like your headlight wiring is fooked. I've had to re-wire my driver side taillight completely since part of the harness got damaged when my old jack was rolling around in the trunk. maybe redo it all

well if you reversed the issue to the other side it sounds like the switch is faulty. i would just replace the whole damn switch.

I was going to do that, but I own another combination switch and it is producing the same results as the one I am currently using.
