200SX with RNN14 GTIR Motor: Injectors will not spray fuel and are clicking

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I have a 1995 200sx se-r with a GTIR RNN14 swap, JWT programed ECU, 444cc injectors.

Injectors are clicking when hooked to ecu and will not spray fuel. They do spray fuel when directly connected to body ground or battery. Fuel pressure is at 40 to 50 psi when turning CAS and holds. All ground wires that go to the ECU are good. I've made a loop of all ground wires connected to the body by using jumper wire with clips. Plenty of fuel and fuel filter is new.

Having trouble finding a NOID tester light for make model. Can I use a BOSH test NOID light form Advanced AutoParts?

I don't think its my ECU because the injectors are clicking. But don't know for sure because I don't have a NOID tester.

Recap:1. Injectors do not spray fuel.2. Injectors make a clicking sound when the CAS is turned.3. Injectors do spray fuel when jumped to the battery NEG or body ground.

well i know little on the 200sx, but injectors are kinda universal for the most part on how they work.

As for a Noid Light, you can make your own. I use some wire, a light sicket and bulb, and a set of gator clips. Works well. Another option is to use a buzzer instead of a light. Sometimes hearing it is easier then making sure you can see it.

Other suggestion is to see if the ground on the ECU board came loose, from its casing. The ECU is grounded to its case, and wiring, IIRC.

which ecu you are using, 200sx or gtir ecu. if you are using 200sx ecu reprogrammed that ecu used high impedence injs . gtir uses low impedence injectors. so you dont hav the resistance needed for 200sx ecu. if using gti-r ecu then more research is needed as for it should be owrking. also just make sure the fuel lines are connected correctly.

I have a 1995 200SX ECU programed by JWT in use.

Made my own NOID tester light and receiving a flash when turning CAS.

Fuel lines are connected correctly. All grounds are in good standing.

Purchased BLAZT software to scan my ECU and preform additional tests.

sx ecu you are using is not compatible to the 444cc stock injs.gtir 444cc injs are low impedence and the 200sx ecu(us model) is high impedence. you will have to get resistors and they should probably start up for you then. not sure what type of resistors . been a while. jwt should be able to tell. try that hopefully that will fix it. if not i have a stock gtir ecu for sale along with gtir mafs that are stock. also i know jwt can reprogram ecus. just necer heard of them doing single throttle body to quad TB. idle vacuum much lower on 4TB, try with those . see what you come up with.

I have the stock GTIR dropping resister in use at this time. GTIR motor originally came with the GTIR resister. Checked with JWT about compatibility and was approved. The 200sx ecu was reprogrammed by JWT for the GTIR motor. Used BLAZT software to test sensor outputs, injector pulse width, air flow voltage, ect.. The BLAZT software made it clear that there was no problem with wiring, sensor outs, ignition signal, pulse width, ect. Found out that the injectors were ceased up somehow and just needed to be pulsed until fuel sprayed enough to start. I sprayed air into the MAF while turning the CAS and injectors started opening more and more as time when by. Have a venom fuel pump in use and proper fuel pressure is consistently being applied.

IT RUNS! and one week later fired from the JOB. Coworker aka manager seemed to have a personal issue with me. She just did not like me. But hay thats ok.

Hoping to get 320 HP form the little guy. Just need to take care of it.
