i will start with the fact i rarely come to you guys for help,im decent at diagnosing my own problems and have seen too many of the kas issues, this one has me stumped,my ka s14will not start it turns over, has fuel, and im sure it has spark,Dont see where anything would prevent it from getting air. thursday i encountered my first problem with the car aside from a valvecover gasket in the two months ive had it,the first sparkplug wire had the boot falling apart and the previous owner taped it back together, needless to say this eventualy failed and my car starting misfiring on wendsday of last week,so i get the new plug wires off my old s13,got a oem s14 valvecover gasket from a friend,(chris coopwood aka white s14 with silvia front end and too much carbon fiber) poped my valvecover off to have it sent to work with my dad to get sandblasted thurs, friday i start putting it back together, took the timing chain guide off the top of the motor off put the valvecover on,put the sparkplug wires on,change my oil, then go to turn the key i get a sputtering for a second and no go, i check my fuel line to see if it was pushing fuel through though maybe a cloged fuel filter...nope lookslike yellowstone parks geysers coming out the fuel filter no flow issues at all ironicaly with the line off the motor cranks and runs for a fewseconds any clue at all what would cause this its driving me crazy the car i can post more pics if yall want but its nothing special at 1500 it was a steal i think even it it is wrecked in the rearse with sunroof and all options except leather and an auto tragic daily...cant wait to fix the 5 speed s13 and take it to a local drift event..fun times

yeah it was and im glad i have indian in my blood no sunburn for me..if you saw the white s14 with the s15 front end sitting next to a white hardbody nissan pick up and the beat up s14 sitting next to them you saw me and my friends..that explains why froggi can afford drifting.

so you say your car runs with the fuel line off, eh. I had a similar problem once and it boiled down to be a bad fuel pressure regulator stuck in a open loop. Take the vaccum line off the regulator and try and start it. If it starts its the regulator.
