Something similar to this type of setup

I do not want to do the vent gauge pod, and i am not running a stereo so there is no problems there. I just need a clean setup for gauges to mount right here. If you know anyone who makes anything or you have another clean setup in mind let me know.

Just curious as to what others did, of course making one has been my only solution. It would be cool if someone else made something like that since i dont have much time nowadays to fab up something like that. Odds are i will end up making one but hey its worth a shot seeing whats out there.

Ya, that would be a custom job and really very easy to make. U need a flat piece of material, ie. plastic, plexi. a hole saw, a dremel, and a steady hand. Very very simple to make.

I think Silvias had some type of gauge setup down there, probably not worth the cost but you could look at the design.

It was designed for function over form, my buddy sank his vafc into the center of his and it looks much better, but his car is more of a show car. I would have done the same, but my safc is able to be removed and easily held by the tuner when I was driving....I use this car for drifting only and the gauges are easily readable in the current position, just looks a little funky not countersunk. I was really just showing a real simple design that can be achieved in a day by anybody.

I have mine in the radio location. It's actually a terrible location to have them

I'd just purchase a 3 gauge holder off ebay that goes in the center vent. Much better visibility.

I'm assuming you have an s13, since you posted a picture of an s13 center consol.

Yes i do, id like to mount the gauges on the dash really, however the car is daily driven and that may cause too much attention. The vent location isnt bad im just trying to avoid putting them there since i have all that room where the stereo goes.

I dont know about you, but, I like to have some tunes when I drive my daily. Why not mount the radio where the radio goes, and get the vent pods for the center of the dash. That way if you want to read one of the guages, they are in plain sight rather then having to look down.

Here's mine with the custom rubber-band AFR mount, soon to be moved to the steering column.

I like the radio are but might get blocked by the shifter and its further to look down to in case you need to. The vents seem popular but really, i like the functionality of the vents, love my 20yo working AC.

and I can't see OP's pic but if its the one I'm thinking of it's aight, definitely custom

That is awesome looking, thats not teddys dash lol at least not yet.

I like both those last few gauge setups, i would do the vent setup but i am not running a stereo so whats the point of not utilizing that space right?
