The stock headlight on S13's are sealed with the lamps inside. You can't just replace the bulb on it as it's sealed shut from the inside. However, you can get a H4 housing for the s13 and install H4 bulbs and or HID's inside. I don't find a reason as to why they "suck" but I hope that helps.
Awesome, thanks dude.Jdmstyles wrote:

As stated above, the stock s13 headlight housing is a sealed-in type, which means the bulbs are sealed inside. Once those go out you'd have to replace the whole light together (the whole square if you will).240twoforties wrote:dumb question, probably answered before.. but can you fit H.I.D.'s into the flip up lights on an s13?
Edit: i looked on the links.. says a 91 hatch has H6054 housings, but i seem to remeber someone saying H4's would fit into 240 flip ups?
Edit #2: is an H6054 the same thing as an H4???

I hate to call you a Fibber but Both vehicles are NOT sealed beam Trust me..I've had to replace many a headlight in the Nissan and Porsche I will even post photos if you wanthidextra.com wrote:Hi,
both of your vehicles are sealed beam (bulb is glued to the housing) which means you need to change to custom housing first before getting an HID conversion kit. Thanks!
