So I've been to Edwards AFB in Mojave, CA 3 times this week and decided to take some pics. Edwards is where all of the Air Force's new jets get tested and Nasa's shuttles land there when Cape Canaveral isn't able to accept them. Apparently they've also got a bunch of F22's and the new F35 Joint Strike Fighters. It's also where the Air Force's Test Pilot School is located which is why I was there. Not because I was in training, but because I was building 2 new command posts for them, unfortunately no pics of those. Here's some pics of the aircraft that they've got on display. Thanks to all in our armed forces for their dedication and commitment. I gotta say it's amazing being on base and seeing all of the work, money and technology that goes into our military.

Yeah the Warthog is easily my favorite as well. I was expecting it to be bigger considering how much of a powerhouse it is. They have pretty much every Us aircraft imaginable on Edwards including B2 Bombers and aircraft equipped with a 360* anti multi missile laser defense systems.

here is a little interesting fact about the majority of the aircraft we keep in museums, most of the planes there in your pics are about 90% flight capable. most could be flight capable within 72hrs notice. Thats pretty impressive I'd say....now if only I could learn to do engine swaps that quickly. I'd be set!
