As long as the injector fits the fuel rail and is 370cc [35 pound] and is a 12 ohm saturated driver type things could work out.The so called dead time must be matched if a perfect idle is to be expected

So far I've had perfect luck with brand new oem 90-93 injectors for 18 months since replacement.

Use of Furd parts will result in your hood spontaneously flying open on the interstate as your car pukes the parts out.

As far as I know the Q shares injectors with a Subaru - but I don't remember which one - and I think the injector failures are shared as well.

It's the luck of the draw in terms of what the injectors will withstand outside of their design tolerances. These injectors were designed over 20 years ago to work with gasoline! Not a blend of gas and whatever Jimbo brewed up in a still that should be "good enough" to not hurt too many people's cars. With an implied "if it does f---- them, their cars are old and they should buy new ones or take the bus" built in there somewhere.

I understand everyone's frustration with the injector failures, but it's like complaining about a kerosene stove blowing up when you try to burn gasoline in it.

My 238,000+ 14 year old factory original injectors are still operating as designed, despite living their first 130,000 miles on MTBE laced gasoline, and the last 108,000 miles and 5 years on nothing but Ethanol laced fuel. I firmly believe the entire injector issue BEGINS with poor plastic injector bodies{same with the knock sensors} not designed to live with the brutal heat under the plenum of the Q....in other words, ethanol is not the enemy, it is the heat which cracks the plastic injectors, allowing the ethanol to contact the electrical windings.....solve the heat issue and it all goes away.

Do those injectors adhere to this:

Find out unless they warranty any damage to the engine because of owner laziness.

Deatchswerks all the way. I've been running 94-96 style injectors from them in my 93 VH with the adaptors/harnesses, haven't had an issue since i put them in last year. (Knock on wood) They are decently priced as well. Plus if you just send them your injectors they clean/run/ohm them for like 15$ a piece or something. I would suggest buying from them or new from IOS hence the fact that ebay you usually get scammed on these types of things. Good luckSTEVE

Are you serious? just because you cannot, will not, do not have the knowledge, skill, or money to maintain a 50k luxury car you do not have the right to diss it. Your first Q cost you 20k? i bet the one i bought for $800 dollars ran better after i put a grand and 25 hours worth of work into it. This is not the correct forum to put the Q to shame. It is a forum to help you keep it running. Try maintaining it right and you shouldn't have a problem with injectors. You diss infiniti for their injector quality? I hate mercedes for the fact of their E brake design alone..... Unless its a supermod or has a sick engine in it, I would crap myself if i ever got passed by a civic. I smoke alot of cars with my 1980 Continental 5.8L let alone my Q. You are at 88k miles, obviously you have been abusing it since you bought it. Do you even have ethanol in your gas in FLA?

Do you have a NICO ECU in your car?

If your car can't be 4/6 cylinder cars on the highway then your doing something wrong.

Hell I beat a Nova on my first time down the track (New England Dragway). To be fair the Nova was having some problems that day but I won my first race on a track.

I hate to say it but a 8 series BMW is looking better and better as each day passes. But that's because the car is;bt 100% right now.

Its the weight/power ratio that matters and the Q simply sucks at 30-40 MPH I know. A NICO ECU will help with the 30-40 MPH kick down according to Wes.

Sad thing is if I had a egg under the accelerator pedal I would be replacing it every hour. I would probably go broke replacing them, Q45tech knows what I am talking about.

Nor do i think its the best car ever created. I just like older cars. I think your due for a plenum job especially since your in FLA where its hot and humid. You can do it for around a grand give or take if you know what you need and how to do it and that covers ALL hoses and most of the little valves gaskets etc. That is if you do it yourself.
