First things first this is going to be a slow but sure build as i want to do everything right and the first time. Plus moneys tight right now since im still in high school (17 years old) and just bought this 240sx. after two vdubs.

Ok so about 3 months ago i bought my first 240sx. Its a 1991 5spd with 163k but i picked it up at what i thought was a steal at $900. it needed a a left fender for the body to be complete since the guy still had the bumper and right fender and headlight. plus it had the jdm 180sx seats so i just had to get it. i loved my low and slow vdub but it just had to go. Im looking to go ka-t, keep the body oem, but slammed and of course some nice rims.

change in plans, not going turbo just yet. what do you guys suggest i go with instead? thinking about buying a set of coils and rims or a full exhaust?any other ideas?

yep i bought it for 270with shipping off someone on here, i posted a thread in the classifieds asking for coilovers and this guy said he had an hks hi power so i grabbed it, its actually in really good condition besides a minor scrape on the bottom but it was shipped to me the next day so i was happy,

i suggest getting the energy master bushing kit and changing out the bushings. It's a pain but really makes the car feel much more solid having new bushings rather then 18 y/o worn to hell ones. I'm jealous of your lift, wish I had one.

i say u go turbo first then coils and so on.cuz u don't want to fall in the category from a hick's point of view when they say "hey i just smoked another riced out slow pos today" who cares if ur 4x4. at least u will be fast enough to put some camaros/mustangs/turbo deisels in their place. idk i started out with a SR swapped hatch that sat kinda high. but now i got coils and it works out

The only problem with that is, how can you truly enjoy the power in a car with worn out suspension? I would at least replace your bushing and if you don't want to be slammed get some new shocks and struts. Almost everyone on here will say the same thing in this subject. Good luck on your build though.

i forgot to take pics while i was putting on the exhaust this weekend but here are a few random pics ive found (dont mind the license plate, my friend went wild when he was resizing the pics in paint)





ill get up a pic of the 180sx turns as well that i put in 2 weeks ago when i paint the fender this weekend finally.

also im getting the hella h4 conversion from frsport for christmas (my mom had me order it yesterday) and some eibach sportlines to hold me over til some coilovers

had that exhaust for 3 years. you told me it looked beat up. I have to confess, I got annoyed but I realized it was for the better cleaning it up. popped some flames on those exhaust many times on the highway run. enjoy it!

havent been on this in a while..so since ive been on ive lowered the front of the car on the sportlines i got for christmas but still have got to the backs yet maybe this weekend. also i came across a lip from my jetta in my shop and threw it on it looks ok for now til i come across a piggy lip.so heres a couple pics
