I picked up a 92 vert today for free from ohio. oh god.

Instead of junking it like i should i'm going to fix it! :]

Floors are gone, center frame rails are shot, some rust here, some there. A little everywhere. haha

But if your going to come in here and say not to do this well too bad, I already decided on this and i'm sticking to it.

Today I picked the car up and started fixing it, started with the floors, i cut them out. I have a parts car with no rust, but was rear ended so the q panels are destroyed. But frame is rust free, floors are rust free, going to swap it in.

Btw. I work fast.

We were working in the dark so my camera sucks at night. tuesday when we put the new frame and floors in i'll have better pictures.

I hope everyone likes whats going on so far.

Standing burnouts eat tires. :o

So here it is. lets have fun with it.

I needed a bumper to drive and i paid 20 bucks for it. its a real origin front bumper, not a cheap ebay one. lol

Reciprocating saws are the f***ing s***.

Looks like a lot of work, but nothing you can't handle. Good luck!

Yes, I'm saving a dead 240. lol for pretty much free! Just a lot of work i'm willing to do.

Plans for tomorrow! Get the parts car here, get the windshield out of it(mines cracked) and the floors. Some other misc pieces that need some work on my vert. then my buddies scraping the whats left of the parts car(not much lol)

Then hopefully! tacking and maybe starting to weld the floors in.

also i want to tear the roof assembly out. It weights a ton and i want to get to all the stuff under it. Plus its a drift car. who needs a facking top?

Roll Bar Set-Up?

Good Luck Getting Into Any Event Without One.

Unless You Want To Enter Events That Require A Full Roll Cage, I Would Just Stick With Something Simple Like This.

From A Local Event I Shot.

Already planned for one, I'm getting a really nice one too, But you'll have to wait to see it. :] But to give you an idea it'll be d1 legit, so expect it to be good.

The rust is a killer on this car, i'm going to get some charge speed wannabe over fenders and then a semi aggressive origin body kit. All that will cover any inperfections i have in my welding of fixing s***. haha

Meh, We'll See.

Never Really Liked Those Full Cages.Kinda Kills The Whole Vert Look.

But Safety > Appearance.

Well, you do have a point, the vert looks amazing without a cage, but this car will look good with one.

Plans are so far as a basic run down, pbm coils, wide body, sil front, isis suspension package, welded diff, and a grind and undercoat of the whole underbody once the gas tank and rear subframe are taken out, and the floors and rails are fixed.

Hopefully if everything goes right a month or so, i want this to start getting the cage in before christmas, and the full suspension and body kit before march. Lets hope!

what's the best looking cage for verts out there. I know safety takes precedence but there has to be something that's alittle "sleeker" or better looking that the one pictures above

You need to locate the owner and ask him to join our vert forum.

Wasn't the best day, lots of running around ended in nothing but fail.

But i got some of what i wanted done accomplished. I cut my wheel wells out for the wide body, I took the rear bumper and bumper support off, I clean primered and painted the trunk, took out the gas tank, grinded and primered and undercoated rear underbody(I will do the part where the rear subframe is bolted too when the floors are in and i take the rear subframe out.

Onto the picturess

Bumper was a pain to get off, but it came off, then found out the bumper support was rotted to hell.

Trunk.

took the top and everything completely out, was a b**** and a half.

started priming s***.

I'm going to round these off more, the cutting wheels i had died really quick. and i ran out. -_-;

Going with some 50mm wide overfenders.

Trunk after I finished everything.

So i'm stoked. and so should you guys.
