My car was looking a little high the other day so i decided to drop it a little more. I hammered my fenders flat and tried to get that uber flush fitment y0.

It's pretty low. My exhaust is like 2" inches off the ground, yikes! but w/e it is what it is i'm just gonna watch where i drive.

my lip is still 3.5" inches off the ground but it sticks out quite a bit compared to the zenki and s13 bumpers so it scrapes on the driveway =/ but oh wells!

well on with the pics. My wheels are mustang wheels (i got em for fitty dorrars so don't hate lol)Fronts 18x9 +20(effective w/ 5mm spacer to clear coilovers)Rears 18x9 +25(track widened with adjustable upper and lower control arms)

^^ my doggy lol

**I need some help with wheel fitment! I've searched around and looking at pics of hella flush cars doesn't really help. I've asked other people that are slammed and flush and they say they rub almost like it's a normal thing. I think pulling fenders or running wider fenders will help but then my wheels won't be flush. I know some of you guys are slammed even more than me and doing track days, how do you guys do it? *cough* BH *cough*

If I took my car in a tight a** hairpin or did a drift my front wheels would be eating fender hardcore.

Dude, you live in SoCal, you have TONS of people around that are driving around/tracking cars that are almost framed.

To fix your fender problem you have a couple of solutions:

-Dial a bit of negative camber-Hammer it even flatter-Pull-Run a smaller tire-For the extreme, unbolt the two bottom bolts that hold your fender to the rocker so when the wheel touches the fender, it'll just "push out."

Also, if you haven't already, grind down or hammer in the fender seam that runs along the top of your wheel well.

i hammered the front fenders really flat. I tried a lot of negative camber (2.5 degrees) and it didn't really help. Just from the looks of it i'm probably gonna have to stretch a skinnier tire which i don't wanna do =/ but only for a last resort

Does anyone run a 18x9 +20 with a 255/35/18 on stock fenders? lol

It will look better with a painted lip imo. Nice car and wheels.

Your probably gonna have to remove your splash guards in order to roll them a bit.

so it rubbing in the front only? just find where it is rubbing and hammer the s*** out of it i.e. all the seams in the wheel well. looks good though.

yeah just the front, I'm probably gonna go with a slightly stretched 225/40/18 rather than the wide a** 255/35/18

and yeah i wanna paint the lip but i'm gonna see how long it lasts first lol..i don't wanna paint it and break it a week later

Don't stretch 225's on a 9" wheel, I'm running 255s on my s13 on 9" wheels and all I did was roll the fender lip. I don't have my fender liners in, however. I'm sure there is a way to massage the metal in there for some proper clearance.

are you tuckin tire tho? My car was about an inch and a half higher and i didn't rub. The fenders will need to be pulled out but then it will look stupid and not flush.

225's on 9's is borderline OEM allowable and it' barely a stretch

i have 17x9.5 +15 running a 225/45/17 didnt rub on full lock, i have now 235/45/17 in front and it rubs a bit when im driving and the wheels are almost at full lock. im also running 2deg. negative camber. (no splah gaurds)

i think a 235/40 will help out alot the smaller side wall should help with the rubbing issue. imma try that tires size soon let you know how it works out for me..

ya you are much lower than nissanman04225/40 would be piece of cake, but i think you can fit these up front. just pound away at your fender liners.i was running 235/40 on 17x9 -5 with my fenders rolled and all the well pounded in, and i had ALMOST full lock.

Haha, I need to update my sig, I don't even have that car anymore. I am lower than that, now that I finally got some housings for my konis that allow some shock travel. But, yeah, since you dropped it so much I can see the problem with that much rubber.

I can assure you at that height you can still go over speedbumps.

My exhaust is hanging maybe inch and a half from the cat to the ground, from the axle back its pretty much on the ground haha.

Smaller tires or hammer the s*** outa the fenders, dial in a bit of camber and enjoi.

Nice car man! Looks great now you've lowered it. Hell if i had easy access to mustang wheels like you's do and 5 stud conversion, id probably run some ford rims!

more Negative camber, not much though (esp in rear) looks near perfect back there, but not perfect so yeah.Possibly consider a tire stretch because it looks like your tires are rubbin body up front. stretching will shrink the overall diameter as well and then u can go lower.

You haven't rolled them fenders flat yet? Get on it man that should have been done awhile ago I don't believe you lol.

Take a hammer to the inner fender welljust beat out enough to make the wheel not rub.

and run a little bit more neg. camber up front to help clear the fender.. or you could take the fender off, and do a little more bending in of the lip.

i fit 19x8.5 +5 up front and i was lower than you.i had to beat in Alot of my inner fender to get to where i didn't scrub at all.

and as far as the outside of the tire rubbing..it will eventually rub it self out.. and walah! no more rub!

the rears are at OEM camber spec which is like 1 degree or something. I've hammered the fenders flat, you can see them in my pictures...i wouldn't lie, i wanna have a rub-free tire fitment lol

hm i'll try that, it looks like i wouldn't have to hammer it in a whole lot as it's barely rubbing

Mmm well if you want to be hella flush, its not really possible to have rub free tire fitment... Unless you run too much neg camber? IMO nice fitment is a stretched tire that rubs slightly when compressed because the lip is flush or even farther out than the body, but the tire tucks in ftw. Get stiffer coils.

As u can tell everyone has a different idea as to what "Perfect" is. To me the current setup looks , hell id be more than happy to have my wheels fit like that. By the way, why all the trouble to get these wheels to fit "Perfect"? What are u gonna do if and when u get new wheels?

i'm happy with the rear as it's pretty flush w/out a ton of negative camber. Camber looks cool but doing a little burnout on -3 degrees is just asking for new tires.

i'm still around 2 degrees of neg camber up front, i could go waaay more and maybe i will just for the time being so it doesn't rub as bad.
