The 92 is in better shape the y33 or id be doing this the other way. The intent is to do the following: Swap the motorSwap the suspensionSwap the tyrannySwap the drive line and differentialSwap the dashSwap the keyless entryAnd anything else that will fit.So, what will and won't fit and what am I just wasting my time on?

Seems like a ton of effort when you can purchase a good operating and cosmetically clean 90-96Q for soo cheap without the headaches of adapting parts from one series Q to another. 90-93 had many differences compared to 94-96.

ALMOST NOTHING FROM A FGY33 FITS THE Q!

Keyless entry from a 1994-1996 Q45 requires a Body Control Module which 1990-1993 don't have.

Transmission will work but you have to but why would you want it? The differential and drive shaft will work. The dash may fit but why don you want to go from double passenger vents down to one?

The engine will fit but alot of work need to be done to the electrical system. The suspension will NOT fit.

Let me know of anything else you want to transfer over.

Tyranny is usually something you try to avoid!

Any particular reason why you avoid it?

I had a feeling a lot would have to be done electrically to make most of what I want to do work. I also know the power steering pump is the same part (except for the active q's), so I was hoping there were others. I only payed $500 for the donor car and we priced a few of the parts we could take off there and it would make it's money back. We more or less were hoping we could swap a lot more since it would be a shame for all that car to go to waste. At the moment we are going to see if we can make the donor functional since it looks like it came from a better home (it was borrowed and wrecked). It still has a clean title, so there is some chance no frame damage is done. I'm hoping we can make two good cars, one that drives sooner rather than later, and one that we really spend some time on.

I more or less was hoping to learn why certain things wouldn't work, or if they could be forced, etc. My mechanics favorite saying is "It's just metal after all". I'm in this to learn it and do it.

Aaaaannnndddd I just got what mtzgr777 was saying. Captain Obvious just smacked me in the face

Nothing is impossible but you somethimes have to cut your losses or know when to stop. And hopefully for me that day will never come but when a Q is not running good its a really bad day for the owner.

If I were you and and I wanted a 1994-1996 Q45 that bad for all the electronics. I would just take the front end from a 1990-1993 Q45 and the tail lights from a 90-93 Q45 too.

My perfect Q45 would be a 1994 Q45A with the 1990-1993 Dash, front end and tail lights. And 1990 Q45 engine and transmision well maybe 1991 engine. And I would finish Wes's supercharger Idea But ofcourse I would need him for the ECU reprograming. But what sucks is no 1990 Q45 seat controls.

Have you decided to get rid of the active suspension?
