Its lengthy but in my opinion a great story with a happy ending ...
PHASE 1
Okay so this starts off in 05'. When my friend in jacksonville though it would be a great idea for us each to buy a 240sx and build them together. Before this idea came about i literally never heard of a 240sx. When my friend pulled one up on the internet i though to myself this car is ugly. After quick convincing i soon realized the true beauty of a 240sx and shortly after was on the market. I found out that the hatchback s13 was my car of choice. Days later i was the proud owner of a white s13 with a blown ka24de for the price of just 400$.
Best 400 i ever spent.
Being as the body and paint were in really good condition and it already had a 5spd, this car was a perfect candidate for a sr20det swap makeover. thus, began the never ending spending of money. First i brought the car to a very highly recommended stage 6 motorsports.
Preped by stage 6 and waiting for my motor!
I then purchased my first sr20det blacktop from JDM addictions in ocala, florida. Which im going to say was the worst expierence of my life. Because they only sell junk. And their customer support once you buy a motor is non existant (They dont answer the phone when you've completed your payment). JDM addictions lifted the motor by they fuel rail and literally dropped it on its oil pan breaking both before delivery. They then forgot the intercooler and piping. So after calling constantly i decided to replace the oil pan witha OEM oil pan, a after market fuel rail with top feed injectors and a gt2871rs turbo. Obviously front mount intercooler and piping were also purchased. Two months after buying my motor and delivering my car, everything was installed and ready to go. Or so i though. Turns out my motor came destroyed "internally" and stage 6's carefully trained experts never thought to run the most simple of test before completly installing the motor. The motor suffered a completly destroyed baring and cylinder wall before i ever touched it. (If anyone had though to give a compression test this would have been discovered before it got to this point). Due to the fact that they would never answer there phone to warrenty the parts that were broken, and missing. I waited two weeks while doing nothing to the car before i bought everything and had it installed. This whole process took 35days so when we discovered on the 35th day that the motor was garbage it was past the 30 day warrenty and they would do nothing about it.
PHASE 2 Now that i have put my foot in the door in the 240 world i had already started to network. And found that JDM of MIAMI was the preferred choice for buying JDM motors. I then bought my 2nd s13 blacktop longblock. I then went a little parts crazy and ended with this list.

"Side note when buying someones 240sx you should always look under the car for a driveshaft. Because as it would appear tow trucks may disconnect these and forget they have it. My guess is they had to tow the car previously and the doors were locked. Me being un aware of this as this was my first 240 i didnt check and my car didnt come with this optional drive shaft."
Finally my car is finished and as ugly as the swap was i was way to excited to care. Problem... I only ever saved enough for the blacktop and swap i was on empty for phase 2 and slowly over a year had to buy everything. The car was amazing and was running at 15lbs of boost and putting down 332hp to the rear wheels.
The worst strikes i blow a head gasket about 8-9 months later and i decide to replace it with a cometic head gasket and ARP head studs.
this is the snapped cam.
I got two of my buddies one owning 5 240sx's and ending in a silvia and the other was my buddy who talked me into this from the start. We rip it apart and put down the new gasket take extra time to remove all previous gasket. Got the timing set and drained the oil. Put new oil in. Started it and everything was great let it run, let it cool. And changed the oil again making sure there was no more coolant in the oil at all. Being all happy and proud i start the car and was letting it run while checking everything ensuring the job was complete. When the car just died i didnt think much of it and went to start it after 15 minutes we pull the valve cover off to try and see what was going on. thats when we noticed the brian crowler cam sheared in half. But i was fortionate enough that it didnt bend any valves or damage anything. Called BC and they sent me out a new one. After inspecting mine they told me they found traces of oil deprevation and i assumed they were bsing me and was just trying to point the finger at me 1 month later after a night of showing off with the gf in the car it starts making the dreadfull knocking noise and i barly made it a quarter mile home before having to push it the rest of the way. "Ending result i spun a bearing and put groves in almost all of my cylinders".
PHASE 3
Me and my friend "a established mechanic" rip out my motor and trans and prep it for yet another motor. I make the call to JDM of MIAMI and buy my new blacktop longblock and recieve my free stickers and shirt. Thats when i walked down two bays and noticed a 240 shop and took a look at there work agreeing that i no longer want to mess up my car... I give them all my parts and have them work on it.
First things first paint the engine bay scion tc gun metal gray.and then the parts come...
