Ok so i've been searching on here for awhile now and cant find anything deffinative yet. So far I know that;the plug for the ecu is different... the ecu is there for different... i've read something about the valve cover studs being different but that thread didnt seam sure of it....

so thats all I have found at this point and i forgot to bookmark that thread and cant find it again.

So my question then is what are the changes between the 2 series? what years are series 1 and 2? and where can i find a wiring diagram for the two series? since the ecus are different im sure the harnesses are also.

I just need to know is stuff since im putting me motor in a datsun 510 and will have to completly redo the harness and I will also be going stand alone so i need to know which base map to start with. Thanks for all the help in advance guys. Heres a pic of the car so far.

Hey man, your car is gonna be SICK Not to discourage you but i could not find a PROPER wiring diagram for the s14 kouki sr20 after searching and searching for hours and hours. I saved myself the headache and sent it to yuri at wiring specialties. That was a few years ago, so you might have better luck now. I was swapping into a 97 kouki, and should have pulled all the tape from the harness done a write up since at the time i couldn't find that info I guess i still could haha

Thanks alot man, i've been working on this project pretty hard. one of these days i'll start posting a build thread on here lol.

The Kouki is the series 2 correct? And the Zenki is the series 1? Do u happen to remember the letters on your ecu? I guess thats one way to tell the difference so i have been told. Mine has WC on it but i dont know what series it belongs to.....anyone know ?

Well looks like I'll just have to bust out my multimeter then and draw up my own diagrams. I do all my own work so I dont like sending anything out to be worked on, plus this isnt any standard setup and there will be lots extra sensors added. I really cant believe that there isnt a wire diagram out there for these harnesses... oh well just means a week extra work

There is a Kouki Euro S14 200SX supplement manual, about 4 mb. It has the pinouts for most of the Kouki harness. So the diagram is out there. Im sure you can find it free somewhere on the net.

yeah but each system is individually broken down and it is a whole bunch of pages -- it will take you longer than a week and more than a multimeter. The hardest part is the wiper and dash plugs but good luck.....

The pinout info that I found or linked to me was either not complete or incorrect. That link to frsport is no good...I suspect since they re-did they're site.

pay attention to the letters & numbers on the ECU. tihis is the only way to ID your WIRING. i have a '98 SR with a WC ECU. i have come across some information that supports this, though much of it says this series ECU is for the zenki models. there is a lot of confusion surrounding these.i have been able to get by with the commonly available S14 SR FSM and various pinouts. i have, however, noticed a few small differences...

thanks for all the info guys.

Yeah i have the FSM and have the wire printout from it taped up in the garage.

It souldn't take too long to get this all sorted out since im not using any of the chassis part of the harness or even the ecu plug since this isnt in a 240sx and im using a haltech not the standard ecu. I'll actually hardly be using any of the harness itself. I really just need the pinouts for the sencor plugs that i'll be using.
