front cv boots torn, Axle replacement??

putting on snow tires today found both cv boots torn and slinging grease....anyone done their own replacement of them? I replaced both on my Outback with not much trouble. Auto shop wants about $500 to do both... I have the tools to do I think but wanted to see if anyone had done it!Thanks!!

its SUPER easy! do it yourself. i'll do a write up for you give me a couple days!!
