All the HVAC smoke testers/creators are around 100bucks. The smoke in a can is about $10, but won't last long at all.

I'm wanting some source of smoke that I can spray around areas of my case, and see how it sucks in, moves through the case, etc...That way I can make fins/guides if need be.

Any idea's besides burnin things? I don't want to cause smoke stains/damage to my case and electronics...so I need clean smoke?

Hmm all the solutions I could come up with were liquid based...

What about the can that people use to test fire alarms...It is usually attached to a long pole with a built in cone shape. They would press it against the smoke head making it go off. Not sure what the stuff is really or if it is cheap but that is all I can come up with.

Have you thought about using a fog machine? It might be a bit much, but especially around this time of year you should be able to rent one on the cheap.

Hmm, that's an idea. I'll look into it and see if I can get adjustable one's so I don't fill my room with a cloud.
