Has anyone had any luck finding remanufactured wheels on the web?

no but I have just noticed my 3 year old M45 has areas where the wheel finish is coming off. I just can't imagine how a $55K car can have this problem.

I will say this, I had my sport wheels reconditioned a few months ago because my careless self hit a curb and I am very unhappy with it. They did a awesome job fixing the wheel rash and you cant even tell it hit a curb but I had two issues:

1. As mush as they say they have the exact color match for the infiniti gun metal finish, they dont!! I took my car back to them twice to match the factory color and they kept telling me that they did and it clearly was no match. I finally had them paint all 4 wheels so they would all match.

2. The paint comes off real easily. I had a nail in my tire the other day and took it off myself to repair. Im real paticular and careful and even as careful as I was with taking the wheel off it chiped some paint away. I can only imagine what they will look like after a shop would get done with them. Plus, my front drivers side wheel is pealing like crazy.

I moved and they said they garentee their work. Since they are all over the U.S. I tried to get in touch with my local wheel repair shop and they wouldnt respond to me. I am going to try again next week but I am just frustrated with it. It would have been worth that extra money to just get stock painted wheels with a few nicks in them rather than paying $400 for this headache. Maybe I am one of the only ones having this problem but it would be interesting to know if anyone else is having the same problem and if it ever stops.

With that said, does anyone have a set of stock sport wheels with the original paint that are in good shape for sale?

I just bought new after market wheels. I have a excellent set of OEM 19" sport wheels for sale. They maintain new factory finish and are almost perfect. E-mail me if interested. I can post clear detailed pictures out in the sun. I'd like to get $750 picked up or $850 shipped.

Unfortunately due to EPA regs in this country the factory paint can not be imported because it has lead in it. There are no exact matches for the paint out there that I've seen. Best thing to do is have both wheels on the same side of the car repainted. As far as the paint peeling off.... that's the body shop's fault. The wheels were not prepped properly and cleaned.

Ebay has aftermarket chromed wheels that you can buy. You can either get them outright or do an exchange. Pricing isn't bad and the people that I've talked to have been happy with them

i found this link a while ago when i was thinking of replacing one of my rims. They used to be 400 for the regular alloy rims, now only 299, that's a good deal considering the dealer will charge you 800.

07sportm35, I have just e-mailed you about the wheels. Let me know if you did not get the e-mail.

I love that we cant get that paint here in this country. Especially when the wheel repair people are lying to us saying they have the exact match. They even promised me that it would look exactly the same. I should have known better. They must have done something wrong in the prep work. I know its the same concept with painting the car. If the prep work is bad the paint job is bad. Oh well, I am tired of dealing with it. I might get them re-painted again and sell them to someone for a good deal. Naturally disclosing the fact that I have had problems and have had them reconditioned. I like the factory color the best anyways so its time to go back to that.

I saw the wheel exchange on ebay but I really dont want chrome and they recondition them as well. I know that some of the reconditioned wheels are good and people dont have problems but I just have a bad taste in my mouth now for reconditioned wheels. I also am concerned about the other website as how can they sell them for so cheap if they are factory original finish wheels.

Maybe I am just letting this one bad experience put a damper on some other options but I just cant stand having wheels that are peeling and the wrong color. The wheels make the car, as with any car, and when they are peeling like that it makes me feel embarrased to drive it. Oh well!!!

Thanks to all for the input and suggestions. It is nice to know that I at least am not crazy for telling the people that the color was way off when they painted the wheels.
