So, I had my car in and the rear brakes needed to be done. Ok, do it....

I just had my truck brakes done and they charged me .8 hours. So I was not expecting anything more then 1.0.

New shoes and drums.

When they came back at 1.3, I was surprised. Do you feel it takes that long?

Car just broke 160000 kms........ no more warantee!

Depends. If the trucks rear brakes are disc it'll be quicker than the Versa's. The rear brakes on the V are drum brakes. If you've never had to chang drum brakes then consider yourself lucky. It takes longer to do drum brakes versus disc. There are springs and adjusters that detach and come apart that need to be put back in to place in addition to replacing the pads.

Drum brakes are like this
