What year 240 are you getting? Pics? I've never done an rb swap but I heard the spendy. I think you might peruse the rb section for ideas of what's involved. Another goodplace may be to call rawbrokerage. They are or were a NICO sponser.

first, i didnt check what state you live in, in ny 96+ run emissions testing through the obd2 port and with an rb25 forget running it legally.

2nd its very pricey. for just my shell, replaced interior, intercooler, gauges (boost, pressure, water temp), rb25 engine and transmission mounts, 1 peice driveshaft and other misc stuff and the hours of labor i already have into it, im nearing 2500. i still need to purchase my motor/transmission/wiring (2500 shipped), radiator, IC plumbing, possibly new turbo, exhaust, wiring conversion, and not to mention maintenence on the motor itself ( timing belt, seals, etc...) im looking at easily 6k into the car, easily.

this is just a basic swap to get it running. start tuning and it will start costing thousands more.. fc, upgraded turbo manifold, intake, injectors, bigger turbo, boost controller... lol... 10k is not too hard to reach really.

start reading, thats the best advice i can give you. if you have income you can stash away and are good at saving money and are patient, this might be for you. its not difficult, just expensive and dont cut any corners. good luck.

i think i might have it running by 2011...relying on income tax and savings for the motor swap alone. just stashing away money in the meantime.

edit: ooo cali, start looking up ka swaps

Haha I like the ka swap! but seriously there's not even a turbo kit that's actually legal for Cali. Unless greddy finally got approved. I'm lucky I'm military so I can register my car elsewhere and only have to smog every 3 years or so to get on base.

yikes... 3k for a salvaged coupe? i would pass on this one. i dont even need to see it. salvage should be sold at half the value of the car, and if its sitting in a scrap yard, you should be rolling that out for 500 bux at most. find a good running 240 and get used to it before you start throwing money in it... and look for a hatchback instead

No offense intended, but do you want some vaseline to put on it? Cuz they you the shaft long and hard, repeatedly.
