When you press and hold the Tuning Switch on the steering wheel (the switch with the up and down arrows) while listening to satellite radio, what happens?

In the manual it states "Push the switch UP or DOWN for more than 1.5 seconds to seek to the next or previous radio station on the band (AM, FM, or SAT)."

When I do this on my stereo ('08 QX) while listening to satellite radio it does not go to the next station. With each subsequent push (and hold) of the switch it cycles through a set of specific stations such as 10, 11, 41, 55, 81, 115, etc, and then it cycles back around starting with 11 again and goes through these same stations again.

And as a note, the same result occurs when pushing the SEEK / TRACK buttons on the dashboard. And while listening to AM or FM all of these buttons operate as they should - they go to the next available station.

I asked my service rep at Infiniti and he says that they all do this. I don't believe him. Can anyone confirm? And does anyone know a way to correct this?

This really sucks. Anyone else? To scroll through satellite stations you have to reach across to the far side of the stereo system? That is ridiculous. It's so far away in this vehicle that it's actually unsafe.

I guess you have to have long gorilla arms like me! LOL.......My wife says the same thing, but she programs her own set of Pre-Sets.
