is it hard to take off the cd head unit?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

It isn't hard to do, although I do have the Spec V. The storage pockage should pop right out. You have to pull the shifter trim out, then pull the AC controls out. With all of this out, you should see the screws above and below the headunit. If you're just gonna do a single din radio, metra sells a pocket to go below the radio. I hope this helps.

Its pretty easy to pop off the different parts of the console. I wouldn't use a screw driver as it may scatch things up, all you need it your hands.

I had to take mine out because money found its way into my CD player :-|

Is there a guide out there or pictures somewhere? I've been searching around the site and the internet but still haven't found one. I have a 2007 SL and can't seem to get AC controls out. I was able to pop open the shifter trim but the chrome shifter knob is in the way so I couldn't take it off completely. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thx.

It's really easy Gforever. Just take a flathead screwdriver or butterknife and pry it open from the edges, put a thin piece of cloth on the panel so you don't scratch it. Also you don't have to take them out completely if you just wanted to remove the radio, they have a little bit of slack once they come loose so you can just move them out of the way.
