Idecided last week to build my own turbo manifold.I am using sch. 40 1-1/2 inch carbon steel weld elbows(if i like the way that this one fits i might build another one using stainless).I am now just waiting for my last two elbows to get here tomorrow so I can finish it up.here are some pix of my progress so far:the collector

Thanks.the paint is already planned for it (Ford electric green metallic).I should be finishing up the mani today at work.I will get more pics of it tonight when it is finished. As far asrunner 2 and 3 you are correct they will have an elbow with a short piece of pipe to the head flange.

Thanks for the comments. If i make another mani I will document everything then. This time I was not sure how it would come out.I used this topic off of a VW forum to get the idea of how to do it.

I just got the 962's so I think they will be staying for a while at least.

I will post up finished pics after it gets ceramic coated and installed.

In the link he used a chop saw to make the collector, but I used a Bridgeport mill to do mine.It was easier that way.I cut my collector at 11 degrees.

Looks good!

Here is mine, I need to pull it off to get ceramic coated. A buddy of mine on Club s12 is making them to order.....1/8" wall stainless. Thing is stout! Weighs in at about 25-28 lbs Oh....and mine has a dsm flange.
