Southern Indiana Dumbass Smashed My Car

About a year ago I acquired what was the car of my dreams, 1990 300zx twin turbo. Took the car, motor and turbos apart, had new parts put on and finally got the car put back together about 6 months ago. Unfortunately the rebuild factory turbo's started leaking oil and smoking really badly. I was able to leave the car at my best friends future inlaws house. No problem with that they are really good people, so I thought. The husband decided he was going to start having a grudge against my best friend and to get back at him, NOT ME! Needless to say their is no longer a good body panel on the car. Roof was crushed in and now is in the seats. He picked the car up with a piece of machinery and then flipped it over into his pond, his own pond. The police are now involved, but I am so pissed off. The car is no longer repairable and am hoping that he has to pay me back. However he's saying he had nothing to do with it, what a load of crap. I'll be seeing you in court MOTHER@#$%ER. (pardon my french) THE GOOD NEWS IS I ALREADY HAVE ANOTHER 300ZX TWIN TURBO LINED UP! I am going to try and post pictures of it on my next post.

No insurance is going to be involved in this one because no one was driving the vehicle. It is going to be considered a vandalism and the police are involved and it is going to the prosecuting attorney. Hopefully she will take it to court and file criminal charges against the guy. Otherwise it will be taken to civil court and you don't have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. That guy deserves what he gets.

You do need to have at least proof that the guy did it. If you don't come in with solid proof that he did it and he comes in with a witness to try saying he was elsewhere when it happens, the judge can easily have it thrown out. Regardless of which way it goes, criminal or civil, get as much info and proof as you can and it will make the case go so much smoother for you.

best friends, in laws, there are just too many degrees fo seperation form you to your car, I'm not find of leaving a car at a family or frineds house, but I'd never leave one of my care with ceomeone with whm I did not have a close personal relationship

Ditto to that, seems like legal options are slim and finding a similar-type repayment method your best option if you can get away with it.

Only a southern indiana dumbass beats the s*** out of a Z32 and doesn't bother to bust out the glass headlights, i mean not to take away from all the s*** he did and how horrible a sight it is, but if i was going to trash a car with glass headlights, that would be my first two swings.

That said, I sympathize with you, i hope you get/got enough to at least take away a little of the pain, as horrible as my z looks and runs, i would still be devastated if anyone hurt my baby like that...No amount of money or new Z would make me forget about my first.

sorry to hear and see the carnage that used to be your how far from civilization does this guy live in where were the keys to the car is the fkn machine that picked the car up on the propertydoes this guy know you at all oh and by the way your insurance (assuming there is full coverage)should cover the loss, it would be like a hit and run type of a situation or a stolen and wrecked and besides that ........homeowners insurance if you sue him because any properties on his property is the owners responsibility after all he gave permission to have your car left on his property thous accepting responsibility......if you question the stolen and wrecked theory..........if the car is moved and inch from were you left it without permission it is by law considered theft at worst unlawful misuse of private property....anyway you look at it you have a case .....criminal or civil,,,,,,,,,,,its still a b>tch though that this had to happen
