p.s. niether. vh45 is overrated trash, rb26 is overpriced and expensive to fix/maintain.

I would forget JDM just turbo charge it if you want some more hp. Or do the vh45. The LS series motors are heavy aren't they? The vh45 is suppose to only be alittle heavier than the KA.

You must be drinking too much of the kool-aid. The LSX is all aluminum.

The LSX fully dressed is probably spot on with a fully dressed VH45.

Hey bud you're right. I found out the the vh45 is heavier. I think its like 20lbs heavier. I want to do the vh45 swap. I want to keep it in the family. :P

go with vh. the engine is cheap, can be very powerful, and is lighter than the sr20 cuz it's alluminium. 300ish hp from the junk yard seems like a good idea

LOL... comon man. Nothing wrong with a VH however the weight info is just plain wrong.

The VH45 is not lighter than an SR20. The SR20 is also all aluminum, smaller, and lighter.

Recap the basics people. LSX is all alumium V8. VH is all aluminum V8. SR20 is all aluminum i4. RB26 is iron block aluminum head i6.
