you mean vq35de...

Yes the 5mt bolts up. And is actually what alot of people use since the 6mt is alot more work.

yes you can boost the stock block.

Yes it will fit, but I wouldn't call it an easy project, especially if you're planning on boosting eventually. You're going to want to get the VLSD 5MT transmission if you're going to be putting down lots of power. Otherwise you'll be doing those embarrassing one wheel burnouts every time you hit the gas. The only problem is the rarity of these transmissions, they only came in I30's, Canadian Max's, and the 2001 Anniversary Edition. They also help a lot in the snow

I really think you need to research and study it hard! Its easy, but its not as easy as it looks.... there are a lot of "little" things you need to modify/change in order for it to work.

You can use the A32 ECU, but you need to cut/splice and use the 3.5 injector harnesses onto your engine harness. The coolant tube needs to be switched out. The timing componenets need to be switched from the 3.0 to the 3.5.... there's a hole that you have to enlarge in order for the timing cover to fit properly ont he 3.5.... you need to modify the TB to make it drive by wire, or simply get a PF TB.... make custom brackets for the throttle body cable... I might be missing something.. its been 3 yrs since I did the swap.

But the 5 spd transmission will bolt right up, and I would strongly recommend looking for a I30t transmission... thats the only one from the I30's that came with VLSD.

Hoenstly, do the research before buying ANYTHING!It took me a yr of reading, researching, and studying before I jumped into it.

Good luck man!

ok well if i just get an 03 maxima manual... can i just have the transmission guy swap the transmission for the i30t transmission..

ive been doin the research for about a year ive been seeing its not easy and alot of customizing takes place and im not a fabricator... so fcuk it... lol... i like my 4th gen but puttin the other motor too much work for that car... plus i just did the transmission 1600 bucks so.. im just doin suspension/bushings.. VI... multi spark iginition coils.. injector kit.. 4 piston brembo caliper and rotors and im tryin like crazy to find someome with the supercharger for the 4th gen motor... im thinkin about rebuilding the block.. havin the valve body modded.. transmission cooler.. oiler cooler.. emanage.. bunch of other things i cant remmeber at the moment.. anyways thanks for the input... i wish puttin that block in didnt suck major a**...
