Front DVD Player Issue

I have a 2006 m35x the front dvd player do not play the dvds i can only hear the audio from the dvds i was told it would show the dvd once the parking brake is on but it does not do that i can only hear the audio from the dvd. i do not have the rear screen but i have the surround sound speakers. any suggestions???

I thought the front DVD player was for navigation only.

I think if you will hit the "disc" button it will show the video. (Assuming it's in park and the parking brake is on).

Which dvd system are u using? If using the one in the glove box; that is solely used for your navigation.

To view DVDs, u have to insert the DVD in the DVD player in the arm rest. You also must have the emergency brake engaged.

in using the dvd in the arm rest when i try to watch one with the park brake on i only hear the dvd i dont see the video

when all you hear is the movie hit the disc button and it should bring it up

ok thanks hitting the disc button worked. thanks a lot. thinking about getting the nav hack done. but will that void my manufacture warranty??
