Sorry to hear it man. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 3 years ago at 53, also a very healthy guy. After 9 months of hell (chemo) and a couple years of recovery he's doing really well.Sometimes you beat it! Best of luck to you, your dad, and your family!

Sorry about your Dad. My father is 53 and dealing with parkinsons. Its affected his memory. I have to tell him things 3 times before he remembers. My mom is fighting thyroid issues that can develop into cancer if she doesn't take care of herself. My wife just had her residency case Denied by whatever Dbag official was reviewing her case so now she has to sit in politically unstable Honduras until I can appeal and hopefully get her back to the states. I never thought negatively, just saying. Coincidence... it happens vice versa too..... My father lost his job to some white guy 4 years ago, then the job begged for him to come back, but he was working for a new bigger better company with better pay and more benefits, so he's happy now.

My dad has type 2 prostate cancer (which is the bad kind) and as we all know that isht is hereditary so I know what I have to look forward to when I turn 50. I know how you feel, cancer, heart disease and diabetes run in my family and it's so awful to have to a relative, especially one as close as a parent to get something that requires more than a shot and some fluids to fights.

Man this seems like its just a s***ty time of year for everyone. I injured myself in a very VERY bad spot like 2 months ago (just about healed). Then got sick immediately afterward, then my wife and her mom got sick. Then her mom got worse with bronchitis. Then worse with pneumonia. Now she is in the ICU with ARDS (been there 2 weeks, almost 3 now) and is not getting better. Prognosis a week ago was 50% chance of survival.My wife's grandfather just had 2 brothers and a cousin die. My cousin has now disappeared and nobody can find her.........she's with a new guy. One of my buddies has been married for 4 months now..........getting a divorce. Found out she was cheating on him since before they got married. And that is only people that I have (somewhat) constant contact with. Every time I talk to someone it seems like their life is going to hell too.
