Thanks guys... very helpful!Yes, I have the service manuals and have studied the relevant sections. I think I'll keep it simple and do as you say by installing it above the audio control unit.

i did the install over weekend. It works, but my music stops playing after 2-3 seconds. I thought that they fixed that problem, where you didn't have to unplug the sat to make it work. I called tech support today, and the guy told me that my unit is broken and needs be replaced, wtf?!! Hmm i am frustrated, will try to disconnect sat wire to see if that helps. Did anyone else had that problem? How was it solved?

Sorry to hear it. I installed mine over the weekend too (in my '06), but I did not have to disconnect the sat receiver for it to function properly.

Yes, i have .37d installed from the box. I guess i'll have to send it in for a replacement. At the same time, did you guys set 1&2 switches to ON position?

I explained this in the beginning of the thread. Happened to me also. I spoke to tech support and they told me I had to disconnect Sat wire in trunk. So I disconnected my Sat wire from trunk and works perfect. Sat wire is just a light brown harness located near rear right speaker. Plug and Play! Takes less than 5 mins. I don't have Sat radio membership, so it doesn't bother me that I disconnected it. Rather have Ipod working! You wont have to send your box in for replacement, just do that, unless you have Sat membership.

Yes, that's where it gets confusing. Supposedly they fixed a need to unplug the SAT cable with a latest firmware .37d. As many posted here, they didn't need to unplug anything, as with .37d you can use SAT also if you want to. So this confuses the heck out of me, why would i exhibit this behavior with the latest firmware. Nevertheless, i'll unplug it from the trunk, and see if that helps. But really want it to work without the unplugging, cause it just feels like a hack Thanks

I went on the website for this place and I don't see specifics for our car. Is there a model number?

I just ran my cable to glove compartment. I leave ipod in there cause I can control everything through factory controls. Very simple no cutting or drilling.Nemesis23 that is the correct model just make sure you get with the harness.

I am assuming this is the same thing? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...AX:ITIf so, I bought the sirius tuner for the price of both of these things.

I spoke to Tech and they showed me how to do a hard reset. Very simple. Maybe you should try that if it keeps on. Email me and I can send you info!

Will this work on 2007 M45 if you don't have SAT button. On the description it states that it will only work if you have the SAT button

I think you're good. Mine doesn't say 'sat', but only 'radio' on the button. When you press this, it rotates between the various sources. So, it will go from am to fm - ipod/sat, etc...Steve
