alternator question

Can someone fill me in on how to change the freaking alternator? I read posts were you say i have to "drop the compressor". Can someone please give me instructions?

Must be done from underneath the car. Trying it from up top will have you in tears or pointing a shotgun at the car.

You're correct...pull all mounting bolts for the AC compressor but leave the freon lines attached so it hangs out of the way (tie it with something, don't let the lines along support weight). This is the only way you will get to the Alternator which sits above it. Not an easy job but doable.
