F54 block is the stronger block but unless you've got custom pistions the F54/P90 gives you a low compression ratio (7,8 unless you've got the flat top N/a Motor). The N47 head will bump your compression and spool a turbo a little quicker.

As for doing the swap, if you can find/rent an engine picker and have basic wrenches/jacks you can do the swap in a weekend. Hardest part is the wiring and there are plenty of diagrams around here and HybridZ that can show you just how to do it. And when you do it yourself you'll know where everything goes so if you ever get around to wanting it to go even faster, you probably will , you'll already know what to do

the stronger block it a matter fo debate, the F54 was logn thought to be stronger, but only every other cylinder is siameased, ont he N42 al 6 cylinders are siameased

yes you can turbo the n42, then47 head is garbage, the n42 is the one you want, but you still need lots of partsoil panturbodownpipeoil "T"oil feed lineJ pipeafmharnessecuinjectorsdistributordistributor driveshaft

its' easier and likely cheaper to get a complete donor and if you get a donor you might as well use the whole motor

for megasquirt you don't need an afm. it has n on die map sensor, you can run the maf or afm but it just adds wiring and intake piping

EGR= Ehaust Gas Recirculationbasically it's a valve taht under vacume open up and let exhaust gas back into the itnake, to reburn, the theory is that it mroe completely burns for cleaner exhaust, the 1975 model 280z had no EGR valve makign ti a little lighter and less cumbersome and you don't have to worrk about adding an egr port to say an aftermarket header

dizzy=distributor

ty for help again what is the difference between a turbo and non turbo distributor

on msa there are two metal hg the 1mm and 2mm what does the size difference do in regards to pressure and does it have a real impact at all

the turbo distributor is optical and uses a nuique driveshaft, the turbo distributir can not work wiht the n/a electronic's and vice versa

the HG thickness effects the compression ratio, stock HG is 1.5MM r there abuts, the thicker HG will lower your cr and the 1 mill will raise it it, it'snot much only about .5:1 cr difference from one extreme to the other IIRC

it's a "T" fitting (actually it looks square) but is screws intot he oil pressure port, then the oil sender and turbo oil feel lines screw into it

yea, that's the j-pipe you would need for the L28ET, if you plan on getting a intercooler, it replaces that pipe.
