Ah...okay thanks. I will probably have a tire rotation done within the next month or so I just wanted to be prepared.ken in az wrote:Check your owners manual, it'll tell you what is needed to be done. I honestly never even considered this when I rotated my tires recently. Now you are making me wonder.
So I checked - and this is what the manual says...
When a spare tire is mounted, a wheel isreplaced or a tire rotation is performed, tire pressure will not be indicated on thedisplay and the low tire pressurewarning system will not function. Resetthe system by driving the vehicle at over25 MPH (40 km/h) for approximately 10minutes. If tire pressure is not indicatedafter performing the resetting procedureabove, contact an INFINITI dealer assoon as possible.

Like Ken in Arizona (who has a 2006) , my Owner's Manual for my 2007 M45 says the same thing: to reset after having your tire changed, you just need to drive over 25 mph. You only need to take it to a dealer if for some reason this fails to work.
Only one way to find out - have them rotated and see what happens. Air one up and see if it reads correctly.mikeym45x wrote:I had an 05 fx35 and i go tthe tires rotated and THOUGHT it was fine, however as soon as I had a low tire it got confusing because the order on the owners manual was no longer correct, the sensors were indicating the wrong tire positions, I'm hesitant to rotate in my 08 m45x because of this
On your '06, when your tires were rotated from from front to back etc., did they just move the TPMS transmitters w/the tires, or did they change them out so that they would be in the same positions before the rotation?M35 Sport wrote:Well I had my tires rotated and balanced at discount tire this past saturday and the system reset by itself just fine.
They moved everything as one unit (wheel, tire, and transmitters). The tires never came off the wheels. I know they moved everything because I watched them. My rear tires used to always read 1 psi higher than the front. Now the fronts read 1 psi higher than the rear.antzrus wrote:

So basically you are saying that even the '06 recognizes the location of the TPMS transmitters and will auto adjust after driving it a bit. But then this is what the manual says as well. So what's all the hysteria about them needing to be reset @ the dealer?M35 Sport wrote:
