wipers not working

so i get into my car after leaving work tonight and I accidentaly turned my wipers on and they must've been frozen to my windshiled cuz they didn't move. Anyway I scraped the windshield and everything but now they aren't working at all....I had done this before and all i needed to change was the fuse but i changed the fuse and still nothing....do you guys think maybe the whole switch on my steering column is toast? Anyone got any spares cuz I found it online but its $75...or if its the whole motor, that is like $260...anyone have any ideas?

If your motor is bad you can smack it kind of like if your starter is going bad. It will start working again sometimes. Same goes for window motors. Just don't hit it to hard. Make sure it's turned on then smack it.
